Military Affairs conducts successful Special Campaign 5.0, enhancing cleanliness and efficiency across various sites.
The Department of Military Affairs successfully conducted the fifth edition of the Special Campaign from October 2-31, 2025, focusing on cleanliness and reducing pending matters across 5,274 sites. The initiative led to the disposal of 455 processes, generating approximately Rs 41.64 crore from scrap sales, while 718,898 files were reviewed, freeing up 271,842 sq ft of space. The campaign achieved a 100% target in addressing public grievances, responding to 450 complaints and 46 MP references. Notably, innovative practices emerged, such as the Indian Army’s eco-friendly Micro Hydro Power system in Varanasi and hydroponic farming in Gangtok, which underscore the commitment to sustainability and operational efficiency within the armed forces, reflecting broader national priorities of environmental responsibility and resource management.
