In a recent high-level meeting held on November 11, Prince Dhawan, Executive Director of the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme, instructed officials to accelerate grid connectivity for Army and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) posts, citing the strategic need for dependable power in harsh terrain. The Ladakh Power Development Department’s initiative is seen as vital to supporting security operations, logistics, and year-round surveillance. The meeting also assessed ongoing border area development efforts, including road construction and communications upgrades under a broader infrastructure package.
