INS Nistar Joins Exercise Pacific Reach for Submarine Rescue Drills
INS Nistar, India’s indigenously built diving support vessel, has reached Singapore to participate in Exercise Pacific Reach 2025, a multinational submarine rescue exercise. Commissioned in July 2023, INS Nistar not only highlights India’s advanced shipbuilding capabilities but also underscores the nation’s commitment to enhancing global submariner safety. During the exercise, the vessel will operate as a mothership for the Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicle in the South China Sea. This development is significant as it reflects India’s proactive role in maritime security and disaster response, reinforcing its position as a key player in regional stability and international naval cooperation amidst increasing geopolitical tensions.
