INS Nistar Arrives in Singapore for Exercise Pacific Reach 2025
The Indian Navy’s indigenously designed Diving Support Vessel, INS Nistar, made its inaugural visit to Changi Naval Base, Singapore, to engage in Exercise Pacific Reach 2025. This exercise, featuring over 40 participating nations, focuses on submarine rescue operations and enhancing interoperability among naval forces. Commissioned in July 2025, INS Nistar exemplifies India’s commitment to self-reliance in defense with over 80% indigenization. The vessel will serve as a mothership for Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicles, showcasing India’s advanced capabilities in submarine rescue and solidifying its position in the global naval landscape.
