Indian Army's Romeo Force escalates operations in Poonch's Pir Panjal amidst severe winter conditions.

The Indian Army’s Romeo Force has intensified search and surveillance operations in the Pir Panjal ranges of Poonch district, Jammu and Kashmir, amid heavy snowfall and extreme cold conditions. Conducting operations at altitudes above 13,000 feet, troops are equipped with specialized gear and are proactively pursuing potential terrorists in an effort to maintain security during the traditionally quieter winter months. This shift in strategy includes establishing temporary bases and surveillance posts to monitor and neutralize threats from across the Line of Control. The heightened military activity underscores the Indian Army’s commitment to ensuring the safety of civilians and maintaining regional stability against the backdrop of potential terrorist exploitation of harsh winter conditions.
