Indian Army's Chinar Corps combats Anantnag fire, aids community.
On September 20, a massive fire caused by an electrical short circuit broke out in Khush Roi Kalan village, Anantnag, but the Indian Army’s Chinar Corps swiftly intervened, dousing the flames and rescuing residents, thereby preventing significant loss of life and property. Concurrently, the Chinar Corps participated in the nationwide ‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan,’ organizing a health camp for women and children in Rajouri, which was praised by local leaders for its positive impact. This initiative, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to enhance healthcare outreach for women and children, addressing critical health issues across the nation. The dual efforts illustrate the Indian Army’s commitment to community welfare and reinforce its vital role in humanitarian assistance and health initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir.
