Indian Army Launches Medical Camp in Flood-Affected J&K
In a commendable humanitarian initiative, the Indian Army’s 26 Rashtriya Rifles has launched a five-day medical camp in the flood-affected Bhalesa area of Doda district, Jammu and Kashmir, as part of Operation Sadbhavana. Over 100 patients have benefited from free medical consultations and medicines. Local leaders, including former Sarpanch Mohd Iqbal, highlighted the camp’s dual role in healthcare and supporting rescue operations amidst severe monsoon conditions that have devastated several villages, forcing many residents into temporary shelters. With the regional government actively seeking central aid, the operation underscores the Indian Army’s pivotal role in disaster relief, reinforcing its commitment to community welfare and stability in a region facing ongoing challenges.
