Indian Army enhances winter readiness and surveillance in Ladakh.

The Indian Army is preparing for its sixth consecutive winter deployment in eastern Ladakh, focusing on redeploying troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) while maintaining a robust surveillance infrastructure. Despite disengagement agreements with China in late 2024, both sides remain heavily stationed, although recent military talks have led to a calmer situation along the LAC. The Army’s winter posture will include geo-tagging key features for better demarcation of disputed areas, extensive drone usage, and enhanced surveillance capabilities. This strategic emphasis on monitoring and troop positioning reflects India’s commitment to maintaining stability and readiness in the region.
