The Indian Army has intensified its humanitarian assistance in Sri Lanka following Cyclone Ditwah under Operation Sagar Bandhu, focusing on bridge repairs and medical aid. The Engineer Task Force is swiftly restoring the Puliyampokkanai Bridge in Jaffna and facilitating a dual carriageway’s construction, utilizing indigenous technology including drones and UGVs to enhance efficiency. Concurrently, the PARA Field Hospital has treated over 3,300 patients, showcasing India’s commitment to its Neighbourhood First policy and reinforcing ties with Sri Lanka.
