India to Hold 2-Day Air Force Drill Near Pakistani Airspace

India is set to conduct a two-day aerial exercise in the Arabian Sea from September 2 to September 3, 2023, strategically positioned close to Pakistani airspace. While framed as a routine training maneuver, the exercise emphasizes the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) operational readiness and ability to maintain credible force projection in a geopolitically sensitive region. A Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) has been issued to ensure compliance with international aviation safety protocols, allowing for necessary adjustments by commercial airlines. This drill highlights India’s focus on maritime security, energy shipping lanes, and preparedness for potential regional threats, reinforcing its strategic intent to maintain a robust defense posture.
