India Enhances Western Coast Air Defense Against PAF Threats in Arabian Sea

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is significantly enhancing its air defense systems along the Western Coast, responding to perceived threats from the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in the Arabian Sea. Following recent failures in penetrating Indian airspace, the PAF may resort to low-level maritime incursions, prompting the IAF to deploy additional Akash and MRSAM batteries at strategic coastal locations. This development is part of a larger ₹50,000 crore modernization initiative, including indigenous long-range surface-to-air missile projects. The escalation underscores a crucial shift in regional defense dynamics, reinforcing India’s commitment to safeguarding its maritime borders and addressing threats effectively, especially against provocative statements regarding potential strikes on vital infrastructure like the Jamnagar refinery.
