IAF showcases capabilities in bilateral air exercise Garuda 2025 with France.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) is currently engaged in the bilateral air exercise Garuda 2025 with the French Air and Space Force, taking place at Mont-de-Marsan, France, from November 16 to 27. The exercise emphasizes enhancing interoperability through a variety of mission profiles, including air-to-air engagements and coordinated strike missions, showcasing the operational capabilities of the IAF’s Su-30MKI fighters alongside French multirole aircraft. This collaboration reinforces the longstanding strategic partnership between India and France, which is underpinned by mutual defense cooperation and shared security interests, particularly in the Indo-Pacific region. Such exercises not only improve tactical proficiency but also facilitate professional exchanges, further solidifying the commitment to collective security and operational readiness in complex environments.
