IAF Chief A.P. Singh: Invest in Defense to Minimize War Losses

Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, emphasized the critical need for continuous defense investment and rigorous training during a recent address at Maharaja Agrasen College in Delhi. He highlighted that India’s safety relies on the preparedness of its military and police forces, asserting that India’s defense capabilities are now competitive globally. Singh reiterated the IAF’s humanitarian role and readiness, noting that 24 aircraft are always on standby across 810 air bases. He underscored the importance of training, stating that intense preparation is essential to effectively respond to adversaries, reinforcing the notion that proactive measures in peace can prevent significant losses in war.
