Future Pakistani aggression will face a stronger response than Operation Sindoor, warns Western Command chief.
Lieutenant General Manoj K. Katiyar, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Command, asserted that any future aggression from Pakistan would prompt a response even more severe than Operation Sindoor. Speaking at a rally commemorating the 1965 India-Pakistan War, he emphasized the advancements in military technology and the Indian Army’s readiness to counter terrorism, referencing successful defenses against recent drone attacks on key locations like Jammu and Pathankot. He warned that without a fundamental change in Pakistan’s approach, a potential Operation Sindoor 2.0 could target Pakistani terror infrastructure with greater force. This statement underscores India’s commitment to national security and readiness to respond decisively to external threats, reinforcing the strategic importance of maintaining robust defense capabilities along the Line of Control.
