Exercise Trishul enhances joint operational readiness across multiple military domains.
India’s Armed Forces are currently conducting Exercise Trishul, one of the largest joint military drills in the Thar Desert, involving around 30,000 personnel from the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Commencing on October 30, this exercise emphasizes integrated tactics and advanced warfare capabilities across multiple domains, including cyber, electronic warfare, and drone operations. Key components include sub-exercises Maru Jwala and Akhand Prahaar, focusing on multi-domain operations, joint targeting, and real-time information sharing to enhance interoperability among services. The exercises not only underscore India’s commitment to joint operational readiness but also serve as a crucial test bed for the Indian Army’s Decade of Transformation initiative, aimed at evolving a future-ready force capable of addressing emerging challenges in conflict scenarios. The successful execution of these drills reflects the Indian military’s resolve to maintain a competitive edge and readiness in a rapidly changing geopolitical landscape.
