CRPF and Jharkhand Police strategize to eliminate Maoists by March 2026.
The Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Gyanendra Pratap Singh, and Jharkhand Police DGP Tadasha Mishra have devised a comprehensive strategy aimed at eradicating armed Maoist cadres by March 2026. During their recent meeting in Ranchi, they emphasized enhancing operational cooperation against Left Wing Extremism (LWE), with the CRPF deploying around 20 battalions in the region. Singh’s leadership prioritizes the welfare of troops and families of martyrs, while also addressing recent incidents of violence, including IED blasts. This united approach aims to reinforce security, accelerate peace efforts, and facilitate development in former Maoist strongholds, aligning with the central government’s commitment to eliminate Maoism nationwide within the specified timeline.
