BSF's Imteyaj and Chingakham honored for heroism in Operation Sindoor.

During Operation Sindoor, Border Security Force (BSF) Sub-Inspector Mohd Imteyaj heroically rallied his troops against Pakistan drones while suffering serious injuries, ultimately sacrificing his life in the line of duty. Alongside Constable Deeapak Chingakham, who also showed remarkable bravery despite severe wounds, both were posthumously awarded the Vir Chakra for their gallantry during a critical engagement at the Kharkola border outpost in Jammu on May 10. This operation was a direct response to a terror attack in Pahalgam, underscoring India’s commitment to national security amidst escalating threats. The valor displayed by Imteyaj and Chingakham highlights the dedication of Indian forces in safeguarding the nation’s borders and reflects the ongoing challenges posed by cross-border terrorism.
