BSF inspector dies while combating cattle smuggling at Bangladesh border.

A 59-year-old Border Security Force (BSF) inspector, Kapil Deo Singh, tragically lost his life while attempting to prevent a cattle smuggling incident along the Bangladesh border in West Bengal. The incident occurred on October 4, near the Agra border outpost, where Singh was leading an ambush against smugglers. During the confrontation, the smugglers attacked the BSF troops, prompting the use of non-lethal rounds. Inspector Singh, while pursuing the criminals, fell in marshy terrain and lost consciousness, later pronounced dead at a hospital. This event underscores the ongoing challenges faced by Indian border security personnel in combating illegal activities and highlights the need for continued vigilance and support for the forces protecting the nation’s borders.
