On November 22, 2025, the Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) showcased the operational capabilities of its Amphibious Brigade along with Indian Air Force (IAF) development projects to future defense leaders from the College of Defence Management. The visit included briefings on the high degree of jointness and synergy among the three Services and the Indian Coast Guard, exemplified during ongoing operations like ‘Op Castle Bay’. The demonstration highlighted coordinated monitoring, situational awareness, and execution capabilities in the island territories. Officers were also exposed to the latest capability development projects of the IAF in the region. The event underscored India’s growing strategic focus on the Andaman and Nicobar Islands as a critical defense hub in the Indo-Pacific, reflecting enhanced joint readiness and integration among the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard. This initiative aligns with India’s broader efforts to strengthen maritime security and rapid amphibious response capabilities in the region.
