He highlighted the strategic significance of US-India cooperation in counterbalancing China’s influence and ensuring a free and open Indo-Pacific. Concurrently, in New Delhi, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and US Under Secretary Allison Hooker discussed enhancing bilateral ties under the COMPACT programme, focusing on defence, technology, and supply chains. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to achieving USD 500 billion in annual trade by 2030, emphasizing mutual benefits in innovation and supporting India’s global leadership aspirations.
