Prime Minister Narendra Modi has embarked on a significant two-day visit to Jordan, marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations. Welcomed by Jordanian Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, Modi’s discussions with King Abdullah II will cover a range of bilateral relations and regional issues, reinforcing the strong leadership understanding between India and Jordan. Highlighting robust economic ties, with bilateral trade valued at approximately $2.8 billion, the visit aims to explore further collaboration, particularly in investment and counter-terrorism efforts. The Indian community in Jordan, comprising around 18,000 individuals, eagerly anticipates Modi’s engagement, reflecting their vital role in enhancing India-Jordan relations.
