NATO warns Russia to cease airspace violations over Estonia

NATO has issued a stern warning to Russia regarding its recent airspace violations over Estonia, labeling these actions as “escalatory” and potentially dangerous. Following a series of incidents, including the incursion of armed Russian jets and the downing of Russian drones over Poland, NATO convened urgent discussions under Article 4 of its founding treaty due to heightened security concerns along its eastern flank. The alliance affirmed its unwavering commitment to collective defense, emphasizing that all necessary military and non-military measures would be employed to deter threats. This situation underscores the escalating tensions stemming from the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and highlights NATO’s resolve to protect member states against external aggression, reinforcing the critical nature of international security frameworks in maintaining regional stability.
