Moscow Meeting Solidifies Regional Support for Peaceful, Independent Afghanistan with India's Participation.

The 7th Moscow Format Meeting reaffirmed collective support for an independent and peaceful Afghanistan, with India participating alongside regional nations. For the first time, Afghanistan’s acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Mottaqi represented the Taliban-led government, which is seen as a step towards its integration into regional dialogue. The meeting emphasized economic engagement, humanitarian assistance, and the necessity for coordinated counter-terrorism efforts, highlighting the threats posed by terrorism to regional stability. Participants collectively rejected foreign military deployments in Afghanistan, advocating for a recovery process free from external interference. This dialogue underscores the importance of regional frameworks in fostering long-term peace and development, while stressing the need for accountability from nations involved in Afghanistan’s past instability.
