Modi highlights cross-border terrorism in talks with Xi Jinping.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised concerns over cross-border terrorism during discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping, emphasizing the need for cooperation between India and China to address this shared threat. As both nations have been impacted by terrorism, Modi highlighted the importance of mutual understanding and support. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri indicated that there may be a condemnation of cross-border terrorism in the upcoming SCO Summit declaration, which could reflect India’s ongoing efforts to designate Pakistan-based terrorists internationally. This dialogue marks a significant step in improving bilateral relations following the prolonged border standoff in eastern Ladakh.
