Kenya Navy Commander Major General Otieno's Official Visit to India
Major General Paul Owuor Otieno, Commander of the Kenya Navy, is currently on an official visit to India from September 28 to October 2, 2025, aimed at enhancing bilateral maritime cooperation. During his visit, he was welcomed with a ceremonial Guard of Honour by Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, where discussions focused on operational collaborations, training initiatives, and hydrographic engagements, including the upcoming multilateral Exercise AIKEYME under the India-Kenya BAHARI Maritime Vision. Additionally, Major General Otieno’s itinerary includes visits to the Information Fusion Centre for the Indian Ocean Region and training establishments of the Indian Navy’s Southern Naval Command, signifying a commitment to mutual training cooperation.
