ISRO's Mauritius visit enhances bilateral space collaboration and development.
A delegation from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) visited Mauritius to enhance bilateral space cooperation as part of the India-Mauritius Joint Satellite initiative. The delegation conducted technical sessions with the Mauritius Research and Innovation Council and held a collaborative workshop attended by key officials, including the Mauritian Minister of Tertiary Education. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Mauritian counterpart had previously discussed strengthening ties, emphasizing the importance of the satellite project for Mauritius’ development. Both nations agreed to further cooperate on disaster preparedness and climate monitoring systems, reinforcing India’s commitment to support Mauritius’ scientific and technological growth while also promoting regional stability and resilience.
