INS Sahyadri's visit to Malaysia boosts bilateral naval cooperation.

Indian Naval Ship (INS) Sahyadri has made a port call at Kemaman Port, Malaysia, enhancing bilateral engagement between India and Malaysia. This visit marks INS Sahyadri’s third engagement with Malaysia, following previous goodwill missions and participation in exercises aimed at strengthening maritime cooperation. The Royal Malaysian Navy warmly welcomed the Indian crew, who held discussions with Malaysian naval officials, reinforcing collaborative efforts in hydrographic capacity building. Additionally, India’s presence at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA 2025) underscores its commitment to regional partnerships, with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim recognizing India as a key neighbor. This ongoing naval diplomacy signifies India’s strategic intent to bolster its influence and foster security cooperation in Southeast Asia.
