He highlighted India’s economic growth, technological advancements, and principled foreign policy as key factors that have positioned the country as a voice of balance and responsibility in a rapidly changing global environment. Singh reaffirmed that India’s sovereignty and security are non-negotiable, promoting reforms in defense procurement and modernization of the armed forces to enhance agility and resilience. He underscored the need for constant vigilance against geopolitical challenges such as terrorism and maritime pressures, asserting that the armed forces not only defend borders but also contribute to stability and international partnerships. Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan noted the emerging challenges of new warfare domains, including cyberspace, which redefine traditional concepts of sovereignty. This event reflects India’s commitment to shaping global conversations and fostering a robust defense industrial ecosystem through the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, which aims to reduce external dependencies and promote innovation in the defense sector.
