The Indian Navy will host the ‘Emerging Leaders Panel Discussion’ under the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) from August 27-28 in Kochi, engaging young naval leaders from 18 IONS nations. The event aims to address maritime security challenges and promote collaboration on emerging technologies and training capabilities. With over 20 navies participating, discussions will center on the strategic importance of the Indian Ocean Region and the role of IONS. This initiative, conceived in 2008, underscores India’s commitment to enhancing maritime cooperation and fostering a secure maritime environment amidst growing regional challenges.
