The Indian Navy’s First Training Squadron (1TS) successfully completed a four-day port visit to Maputo, Mozambique, from September 16-19, 2025, enhancing naval cooperation through joint training exercises, including diving operations and firefighting drills. The deployment emphasized community outreach, with over 1,000 local school children touring the ships, and a medical camp providing care to more than 100 patients. High-level meetings between Indian and Mozambique naval officials underscored the strengthening defense ties, aligning with India’s broader maritime vision of MAHASAGAR.
