Indian Naval Chief's Official Visit to Strengthen Ties with Sri Lanka

Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff of India, is on a four-day official visit to Sri Lanka from September 22 to 25, 2025. During this visit, he is set to meet with Sri Lankan Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya and engage in discussions with senior military officials on defense cooperation, specifically focusing on maritime security and capability enhancement. Additionally, he will participate in the 12th Galle Dialogue International Maritime Conference in Colombo, which centers on the Indian Ocean’s evolving dynamics. This visit strengthens the enduring India-Sri Lanka relationship, underscoring mutual respect and shared strategic interests within the Indian Ocean Region, ultimately promoting peace and stability.
