An Indian Army contingent of 120 personnel has departed for Irwin Barracks in Perth, Australia, to participate in the fourth edition of Exercise AUSTRAHIND 2025, scheduled from October 13 to 26, 2025. Led by a Battalion of Gorkha Rifles, the contingent aims to enhance military cooperation and interoperability between the Indian and Australian armies, focusing on sub-conventional warfare tactics in urban and semi-urban environments. This exercise will facilitate joint company-level operations and enhance operational capabilities through the integration of emerging technologies.
