Indian and Pakistani naval ships visit Colombo, highlighting regional dynamics.

The Indian Naval Ship (INS) Sukanya recently made a port call in Colombo, Sri Lanka, for operational turnaround, where it was received with traditional naval honors. Commanded by Commander Santosh Kumar Verma, the Offshore Patrol Vessel is engaging in goodwill activities with the Sri Lanka Navy, alongside visits to local attractions before its scheduled departure. Simultaneously, the Pakistan Naval Ship (PNS) SAIF also visited Colombo for replenishment but departed shortly after. This dual naval presence underscores the strategic maritime engagements in the region, highlighting India’s proactive approach to fostering diplomatic ties through naval cooperation while maintaining a vigilant stance amid increasing regional dynamics.
