India has strongly condemned Pakistan’s recent war-mongering remarks and warned of “painful consequences” should Islamabad engage in any misadventure. Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal highlighted that such rhetoric is a tactic used by Pakistan’s leadership to distract from domestic failures. He specifically addressed comments made by Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir regarding the Indus River, emphasizing India’s commitment to national security and its refusal to succumb to nuclear threats. Jaiswal reiterated that Kashmir is an integral part of India and criticized Pakistan’s claims over it, advocating for the resolution of issues through dialogue rather than aggression.
