India-South Africa Conclude Naval Talks on Indian Ocean Security

India and South Africa have successfully concluded the 13th Navy Staff Talks from September 24 to 26, focusing on enhancing operational ties and maritime security in the Indian Ocean. Co-chaired by Rear Admiral Nirbhay Bapna of the Indian Navy and Rear Admiral M Nkomonde of the South African Navy, the discussions aimed to explore technical collaborations and strengthen bilateral cooperation. This dialogue underscores the historical ties between the nations rooted in India’s support for South Africa’s anti-apartheid struggle and reflects ongoing military cooperation since the establishment of diplomatic relations.
