India Rejects Third-Party Mediation in Pakistan Relations

India has firmly rejected any third-party mediation in its bilateral issues with Pakistan, as reiterated by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. He noted that during Operation Sindoor, India declined external involvement, maintaining that discussions must remain direct between the two nations. Dar emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to dialogue and peace, while highlighting India’s insistence on sovereignty regarding water disputes. Despite claims from former US President Trump of mediation averting conflict, India maintains that the ceasefire was achieved through direct military communication, showcasing its preference for sovereign negotiations. This stance underscores India’s strategic approach to addressing regional security and terrorism issues independently.
