India-Nepal border situation normalizes after Nepal's new government.

The situation at the India-Nepal border is improving following the formation of a new government in Nepal, with normal operations resuming at the Rupaidiha border crossing. Traffic for passenger and cargo vehicles has significantly increased, reflecting a resumption of trade activities vital for both countries, as over 500 cargo vehicles have successfully crossed into Nepal. The Land Port Authority of India noted that 99% of trade at this border consists of exports from India, underscoring its importance for economic relations. The proactive measures taken by the Sashastra Seema Bal to monitor and facilitate border crossings demonstrate India’s commitment to maintaining strong bilateral ties and regional stability.
