India Joins Coast Guard Global Summit, Aiming to Host 2027 Edition
India participated in the 4th Coast Guard Global Summit in Rome, emphasizing its commitment to global maritime governance and showcasing its expertise in maritime safety. The Indian Coast Guard, led by Director General Paramesh Sivamani, delivered a presentation on tactical responses to fire emergencies and expressed intent to bid for hosting the 5th summit in India in 2027. The summit gathered delegates from 115 countries, focusing on collaborative efforts to protect marine environments, tackle transnational maritime crimes, and enhance response mechanisms to disasters and pollution.
