India extends airspace ban on Pakistan flights until October 24.

India has extended the closure of its airspace to Pakistan-registered flights until October 24, following a series of escalations that began with a terror attack in Pahalgam in April that resulted in 26 fatalities. Both countries have maintained restrictions on each other’s airspace since April, issuing separate Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) to formalize the closures. The NOTAM specifies that Indian airspace will remain closed to all aircraft operated or owned by Pakistan entities, including military flights. This ongoing airspace restriction underscores the heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, reinforcing India’s commitment to national security in the face of provocations, and highlights the prolonged geopolitical standoff that continues to affect regional stability and air operations.
