India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has announced the elevation of its Technical Mission in Kabul to an official embassy, a move aimed at strengthening its diplomatic presence and functionality in Afghanistan. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal emphasized ongoing bilateral engagement, highlighted by recent conversations between External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Afghan Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi. In alignment with India’s commitment to humanitarian support, food relief has been dispatched for earthquake victims in northern Afghanistan.
