India and UAE Enhance Defense Ties with Second Desert Cyclone Exercise
India and the UAE are enhancing their strategic defense partnership with the launch of the second Desert Cyclone military exercise, taking place in Abu Dhabi from December 18 to 30. An Indian Army contingent of 45 personnel, mainly from the Mechanised Infantry Regiment, will engage alongside a similar-sized UAE Land Forces unit, focusing on interoperability in urban warfare and sub-conventional operations under a UN mandate. This exercise, building on recent high-level military dialogues, aims to solidify defense cooperation, improve tactical coordination, and strengthen the bilateral military relationship, reflecting both nations’ commitment to regional stability and security.
