India and Sri Lanka will conduct the annual bilateral maritime exercise SLINEX-2025 in Colombo from August 14-18, comprising a harbour phase with cultural activities and a sea phase involving complex naval operations. This 12th iteration aims to bolster inter-operability and mutual understanding between the Indian Navy and the Sri Lanka Navy, showcasing activities such as tactical maneuvers and Special Forces operations. The Indian Navy will participate with INS Jyoti and INS Rana, while Sri Lanka will contribute SLNS Vijayabahu and SLNS Sayura, highlighting the strengthening of defense ties in the region and promoting security collaboration in the Indian Ocean.
