India and Arab League enhance cooperation for economic growth.
Neena Malhotra, Secretary (South) at the Ministry of External Affairs, chaired a consultation meeting with Arab Ambassadors in New Delhi to enhance cooperation between India and the League of Arab States (LAS). The meeting emphasized India’s historical ties with the Arab nations, rooted in trade and cultural exchange, and aimed to strengthen economic partnerships crucial for India’s external trade, particularly through key maritime routes. With the LAS comprising 22 member states, India seeks to deepen engagement in a region vital for international economic dynamics. This initiative reflects India’s strategic emphasis on fostering robust relationships with its extended neighborhood, enhancing stability and promoting sustainable economic growth.
