The 6th High-Level Meeting between the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) and the Vietnam Coast Guard (VCG) took place on August 20, 2025, in Hanoi, focusing on enhancing cooperation in areas such as Maritime Search and Rescue, Law Enforcement, Marine Pollution Response, and Capacity Building. Both sides emphasized tackling transnational maritime crimes and underscored the importance of joint pollution response mechanisms. The meeting, co-chaired by ICG’s Additional Director General Anand Prakash Badola and VCG’s Major General Vu Trung Kien, highlighted mutual trust and operational synergy, reinforcing their commitment to regional maritime security and safety. This collaboration reflects India’s proactive approach in fostering maritime partnerships in the Indo-Pacific region.
