Centre Takes Steps to Divert Indus Treaty Rivers for Water Shortage

The Indian government is actively pursuing measures to redirect water from rivers governed by the suspended Indus Water Treaty to alleviate water shortages in several states. Jal Shakti Minister CR Paatil emphasized that these efforts, which involve collaboration with the Home Ministry and the Ministry of External Affairs, are crucial for addressing agricultural and water scarcity issues affecting farmers and communities.
