Brazilian Navy delegation explores maritime training cooperation with India.
A 40-member Brazilian Naval War College delegation, led by Rear Admiral Gustavo Leite Cypriano Neves, visited New Delhi from November 17–19, 2025, to discuss maritime training cooperation with Indian Navy officials. The delegation engaged in high-level talks at Naval Headquarters, visited the National War Memorial, Information Fusion Centre – Indian Ocean Region, and the National Defence College, gaining insights into India’s strategic imperatives. Discussions focused on enhancing bilateral training, sharing best practices, and strengthening professional military education ties. This engagement follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s July 2025 visit to Brazil, where both nations agreed to deepen defence and security cooperation, including joint exercises and the exchange of classified information. The visit underscores India’s strategic outreach to key maritime partners and reinforces convergent interests in safeguarding shared maritime domains.
