Amit Shah and J&K L-G honor ITBP's commitment on Raising Day.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed their commendations to the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) on its 64th Raising Day, acknowledging the force’s exceptional commitment to safeguarding India’s borders against formidable challenges. Established post the 1962 Sino-Indian War, the ITBP protects the Line of Actual Control and has a storied history in various conflicts, including the wars of 1965 and 1971. The leaders highlighted the ITBP’s vital role in ensuring national security while paying tribute to the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives in service. This recognition underscores the ITBP’s crucial position in India’s defense architecture, particularly in an increasingly complex geopolitical landscape.
