Afghan Defence Minister dismisses Pakistan's view of TTP as terrorists, advocating dialogue instead.

Afghan Defence Minister Mullah Yaqub Mujahid stated that Kabul does not share Pakistan’s view of militant groups like the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) as terrorists, suggesting that such labels are politically motivated. In response to Pakistan’s concerns over TTP attacks allegedly originating from Afghan soil, Mujahid emphasized the need for dialogue and assured that the Taliban would not allow armed groups to use Afghan territory against Pakistan. He warned of reciprocal actions against any aggression from Pakistan and expressed hope for upcoming talks in Turkiye to foster cooperation. This development highlights the complex dynamics between Afghanistan and Pakistan, particularly regarding cross-border militancy, and underscores the necessity for diplomatic engagement to maintain regional stability.
