Thailand's D11A Rocket Launcher Completes Trials, Production Set for 2026
The Royal Thai Army has successfully completed trials for the indigenous D11A multi-purpose rocket launcher system, developed by the Defence Technology Institute (DTI) in collaboration with Israel’s Elbit Systems. Mounted on a 10-ton Tatra 6×6 truck, the D11A demonstrated its capabilities with live-fire tests of various guided and tactical rockets, achieving ranges of up to 300 km. This advancement is a significant step towards Thailand’s defense self-reliance and falls within a broader 2025-26 modernization plan aimed at enhancing national security and regional standing. With plans for serial production set for 2026, the D11A highlights Thailand’s strategic intent to bolster its military capabilities amid evolving regional security dynamics.
