Tata-Safran opens LEAP engine parts facility, advancing Make in India.
Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) and Safran Aircraft Engines have inaugurated a cutting-edge rotating parts manufacturing facility for LEAP engines in Adibatla, Hyderabad, marking a significant advancement in India’s aerospace sector. This facility, part of a long-term collaboration initiated in January 2024, aims to enhance domestic production capabilities for advanced aero-engine components, thereby supporting the “Make in India” initiative. As the world’s third-largest operator of LEAP engines, with over 2,000 units ordered by Indian airlines, this development underscores the growing demand for local manufacturing and technological innovation in India’s aerospace landscape. The establishment of this facility is poised to strengthen India’s position in the global aerospace supply chain and contribute to enhancing the country’s defense capabilities.
